This course helps advocates understand why its important to communicate with elected officials and how to do so effectively. Students new to advocacy -- as well as those already involved -- will learn communication skills such as conducting background research, developing and delivering a message, and following up. Learn the secrets to using the Internet, getting someone to listen to your message, and navigating the legislative process.
