This course instructs shelter staff and volunteers in developing tools and techniques for effective profiling of animals and patrons in order to make appropriate matches. The course will also discuss ways to help adopters have realistic expectations and to assist the pet in transitioning into the new home. Learn how to design programs for public outreach before and after adoption.
This course is part of the Shelter Management Specialist Program.
ANGEL is HSUs web-based learning environment. With ANGEL, students can upload assignments, take exams, check course materials, email instructors, post messages on discussion boards, explore library services, and more.

Students can use smart phones and tablets for some access to their courses through an app called BlackBoard MobileLearn, but having access to a personal computer is required.
