Environmental Educator

Duties

Environmental educators may work in classrooms, nature centers, museums, or anywhere they can teach children and adults about the natural world.  Many write as well as speak, producing books, articles, films, and museum exhibits that aim to change attitudes as well as inform.

Education and Background

People with many backgrounds become environmental educators, including experts in specific fields such as ecology or museum science or classroom teachers.  Experience teaching and writing are keys to success.
